Our East Africa expansion

We are excited to announce that SRA is moving into another country, this time in Uganda!

American Leprosy Missions (ALM) have very kindly provided funding for a scholarship for our colleague, Patience James, to go to Cavendish University in Uganda to study public health. Outside of her studies, this funding will also be used to grow SRA’s presence in East Africa. We are very excited about this, for this is the first time that SRA will move into the region.

We are also very grateful to ALM for sponsoring an IT expert from Nigeria to travel to Guinea Bissau to build up the lab intranet at Universidade Jean Piaget, enabling researchers to better tackle infectious diseases in the region.
